Data Science Consultant - Commodities Trading - London

Key Details: Inside IR35, up to £850 per day Umbrella, 12 months

A global commodities trading company are looking for a highly experienced and knowledgeable data scientist. You will be working with the company as the first data science consultant, coming in to govern and monitor as well as upgrade and enhance the initial models. They have an intricate roadmap of models that they are looking to release over the next 12 months that you will be a crucial element in creating. These models all link into the massive amount of commodity trading data that they have access too on a daily basis.

In this position you will also be undertaking large scale research projects so would hopefully come from a background of extensive research, as well as be highly educated(PhD) and commercial. You will be highly engaging and capable of acting as the sole Data Scientist within this function.

Role Requirements:

• Extensive experience building models in Python (Pandas, Numpy, SciPy)
• Strong knowledge/research background (PhD)
• Machine Learning within commercial backgrounds
